Position Summary
The Program Coordinator provides administrative assistance to team to support the accomplishment of program objectives; develops, coordinates, and advises staff regarding program policy. Funded by the National Institutes of Health ( NIH ), the Network for Community-Engaged Primary Care Research ( NCPCR ) overarching goal will be to narrow the health inequities widened among disproportionately impacted populations served by the primary care safety net across the southeastern United States (US) and nationally.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university
Minimum of two years of related experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products with specific experience using MS Excel and PowerPoint-Intermediate skills
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university in public health, communications, or other area as appropriate.
Three (3) year of office administrative experience
Two (2) years of partner and community engagement development experience

Job Duties
Description of Job Duty
Manages post-award activities, including budget set-up, development and execution of contracts and subawards, and coordinating reporting requirements
Advises project teams regarding program policies and deliverables
Collaborate with project teams and community partners to support research and community engagement activities
Develops, plans, coordinates and implements activities including, but not limited to seminars, conferences, workshops, and community events
Monitors and evaluates program effectiveness, investigates trends, and recommends and implements modifications to improve program effectiveness and efficiency
Manages, monitor, verify and reconcile expenditure of budgeted funds as appropriate and reports status to Director and teams
Develops communication strategy and communicate with project teams to maintain calendar of outreach activities and deliverable due dates
Actively participates and contributes in team project meetings and workgroups to assist with coordinating deliverables.
Provides guidance to project teams to support the accomplishment of research and community engagement activities.
Acts as the liaison with other programs, offices and departments at NCPC and MSM to coordinate program business and accomplish program objectives
Interfaces with external organizations as appropriate to ensure cooperative efforts are enhanced and available resources are utilized
Some local and national travel required for stakeholder engagement at meetings, conferences, and exhibits.

Immunization Requirements
It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
