Position Summary

The Center for Maternal Health Equity aims to pursue equity in maternal health by reducing maternal morbidity and mortality by building and strengthening community engagement and advocacy. We are seeking a Program Coordinator to maintain all community outreach activities. The Program Coordinator will assist in the organization of special events, including donor/volunteer appreciation events and other fundraising initiatives. The position will require the individual to have an outgoing and engaging personality with confidence to interact face to face with individual and corporate donors.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in health-related field.

Experience:

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in maternal health research or related field.

Strong understanding of research methodologies, study design, and statistical analysis.

Experience with project management tools and techniques.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in scientific writing and presentation.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Prior experience working with diverse populations and communities.

Knowledge of ethical considerations and regulatory requirements in human subjects research.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience:

Prior work experience with international maternal health projects and initiatives.

Prior work experience with qualitative research methods and analysis.

Job Duties

Description of Job Duty

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of project goals and objectives.

Collaborate with policymakers, healthcare providers, and community organizations to translate research findings into actionable recommendations.

Assist in grant writing, proposal development, and fundraising efforts to support maternal health research initiatives.

Provide support to the project director in developing project timelines, budgets, and milestones.

Schedule regular outreach exhibitions in the community and educate employees on community responsibility.

Maintaining a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities.

Prepare and present oral and written reports on development and outreach activities, to track and assess progress and address program deficiencies as they occur

Administrative tasks associated with Center initiatives, and perform additional functions related to research activities

Immunization Requirements

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
