My client is a global leader in the oral care manufacturing industry looking to add a Controller to their US team! My client produces hundreds of products including toothbrushes, toothpaste, toothpicks, etc. that are sold in retailers across the world including Target, Walmart, Walgreen's, CVS, etc!
My client's footprint is continuing to grow and they are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join their team as the US Controller! The Controller with be the #1 Accounting lead for the US group, directly managing a team of 2 and indirectly manage an additional 4 individuals, owning all aspects of Accounting for the US, and partnering with the Global Controller and CFO of the business.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be an influential leader of a team, regularly work with Global Executives, and be a change agent, implementing strategic directives to that will positively impact the global organization.
Job Description
Manage all aspects of accounting: billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and various special analysesEnsure compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirementsMaintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implement a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize riskEnhance accounting and financial performance and operational decision-making throughout the companyEnsure timely, complete and accurate monthly account reconciliations and financial activityServe as main point of contact with external auditors and tax advisorsLead, coach and develop the accounting teamMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting8+ years of experience in Finance or AccountingCost Accounting experience is a MUSTManagement experience is a MUSTAbility to research and adhere to all aspects of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Experience with ERP implementation is a plusExcellent leadership skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAdvanced Excel skillsWhat's on Offer
