The YMCA of Central Massachusetts is looking to hire a Food Service Manager for the Sarah and Richard Hardy Center for Child Development Center located in Southbridge, MA. The successful candidate will serve as the chef for the center of 130 children ranging in ages of 6 months to 5 years of age. This role requires a deep understanding of child nutrition and will offer the successful candidate a unique opportunity to provide healthy meals for the youth in our community. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and have excellent organizational skills. The successful candidate will work Mondays through Fridays from 6:45 am to 3:15 pm, and will serve Breakfast, Lunch and an Afternoon Snack to children.
Essential Functions include:
Maintaining food service equipment, utensils, storage areas, food preparation and serving areas in a sanitary condition in compliance with current health standardsPlanning & implementing menu plans according to daily nutrition requirements.Cooking & serving students' meals while maintaining awareness of students' allergies and food restrictions.Provide training, work guidance & supervision to one additional Food Service Staff Associate.Creating food & supply orders that comply with health standards.Other additional duties as assigned.Qualifications:
**Current ServSafe Certification is requiredHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent requiredMust be at least 21 years oldThree years of experience in food service or a continuing education degree in a relevant field preferredPay:
$24.00 per hour
