Perform routine and diagnostic mammography exams and produce quality images.Perform Quality Control (QC) functions related to Mammography and Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA)Perform a variety of tasks associated with the operation and maintenance of Mammographic, Radiographic, and other related equipmentCalculate appropriate exposure factors and evaluate images for diagnostic qualityAssist in the maintenance and compilation of statistical dataObtain patient history, explain procedures, and position patients accurately to ensure safety and comfort during the scanAssist Radiologists and other healthcare practitioners with invasive procedures
Qualifications
Job Requirements:Technical/Associate degree in radiographyRegistration through ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in radiographyRegistration through ARRT in mammography required within one year of employmentPreferred Job Requirements:Registration through ARRT in bone density1 year of mammography experience
