JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Department of Surgery at The University of Wisconsin is recruiting an exceptional Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon with an interest in Pediatric Plastic Surgery to join our vibrant Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The successful candidate will have a track record of clinical excellence and academic contributions as demonstrated through training and/or practice experience. The Division of Plastic Surgery leads multi-disciplinary programs in Cleft and Craniofacial Anomalies, Craniosynostosis, Brachial Plexus, Birthmarks and Vascular Anomalies, Spasticity, and Congenital Extremity Anomalies with colleagues from diverse specialties throughout our growing Children\'s Hospital. The Division cares for children from a broad geographic region throughout the state of Wisconsin as well as northern Illinois, eastern Iowa, and the upper peninsula of Michigan and currently staffs two outreach clinics throughout the region. The UW SMPH Division of Plastic Surgery includes 13 full time faculty members, 18 integrated plastic surgery residents, 2 research fellows, 7 advanced practice providers, and an administrative staff of 8. The full breadth of plastic surgery clinical care is performed for adults and children including general reconstruction, breast surgery, microsurgery, pediatric plastic and craniofacial surgery, gender affirming surgery, hand and upper extremity surgery, aesthetic surgery, and migraine surgery. The majority of clinical care occurs at University Hospital (Level One Trauma Center), American Family Children\'s Hospital, and the Veterans Administration Hospital, with additional services at East Madison Hospital, Meriter Hospital, and Madison Surgery Center. Faculty participate in robust clinical, basic science, and translational research, and are committed to the education of medical students and residents. Care of adult patients who have sustained craniofacial trauma will be part of the required clinical responsibilities.
