Job Title: Dietitian Job Specialty: Dietitian Job Duration: 15 weeks Shift: 4 days a week/10-hour shifts, with Day Shift primarily; Mid/Evening as needed Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: 3 years preferred License: CDCES preferred Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university - Completion of a Didactic Program in Dietetics Accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) - Current registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Job Description: - Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for both inpatients and outpatients, including assessments, nutrition care planning, counseling, and education. - Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in nutrition, particularly for complex and high-risk patients. - Deliver in-service education and training programs to nursing staff, medical staff, students, healthcare personnel, and the general public. - Modify patient profiles according to nutritional needs, food intolerances, and preferences. - Participate as a member of the medical team during interdisciplinary care conferences to update patient care plans. - Offer outpatient MNT services for adults and/or family members as referred by a physician. - Conduct food service department quality assurance checks on a regular basis. - Create and provide nutrition-related presentations and information for the community. - Conduct in-service education for food service personnel. - Prepare reports and documents necessary to maintain accreditation with regulatory agencies. - Perform other duties as assigned.
