We are seeking a
Sales Operations Project Manager
for Generac’s Consumer Power business unit. The role is key in implementing the projects for a sales channel, defining & implementing consistent sales initiatives and processes. An ideal candidate for this role will have a proven track record in project management, operational excellence and leading complex, cross-functional projects.
Major Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Sr. Sales Ops, Sales teams & cross-functional partners to implement initiatives for growth and operational improvements within a sales channel.
Manage initiatives which improve sales processes, implement new sales tools, or integrate systems for a dedicated sales channel
Develop, coordinate, and implement Sales initiatives, then measure overall impact and success for Sales and the business.
Identify & document all project deliverables needed, team members assigned and expected due dates.
Communicate regularly with team members to ensure that all pieces are on task.
Manage & execute overall project timelines, identifying risks and communicating progress to leadership.
Identifying opportunities to streamline business processes, drive efficiencies, and ultimately contribute to revenue growth.
Partner with cross-functional teams on sales channel initiatives, impacting systems, reporting, policies, and process improvements.
Participate and coordinate strategic planning sessions and sales meetings to ensure focus on key business priorities.
Identifies project issues and identifies solutions to meet project goals
Proactively communicates project status, issues and risks to leadership Manage sales communications across all sales channels; develops strategies, key message documents, and other content to help audiences understand and support change
Minimum Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in sales operations, business strategy, project management or a similar role within a large, complex organization.
Preferred Job Requirements:
MBA or other relevant graduate degree
Familiarity with continuous improvement or other process improvement methodologies
PMP Certification is a plus
Cross functional project management and collaboration
Experience in the energy sector or a manufacturing environment
Experience partnering with and influencing Sales Leaders
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
A strong desire to execute, drive impact, and demonstrate urgency with projects big and small.
Strong project management skills to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
Skill at managing stakeholder groups and balancing diplomacy and tact with assertiveness
Experience in handling sales performance reporting and strategic planning.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Proficiency in using CRM
Comfortable leading meetings and guiding team members toward a centralized goal
Ability to think cross functionally and provide solutions across a large, complex organization.
Proficiency in data analysis tools.
Ability to gain internal buy-in from multiple partners & business segments
Able to influence others without direct authority and work effectively with many levels of the organization.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal, management, motivation, and analytical skills
Self-starter with initiative and vision.
Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with sales teams and other stakeholders.
Builds trust and demonstrates integrity in all circumstances
Physical Demands
: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
