CORPORATE CONTROLLER
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Controller for Build Group plays a key leadership role in the company and is responsible for the company's financial reporting. The individual in this role oversees the division's corporate accounting department. The Controller is responsible for insuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and designing adequate and effective control procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements.Advise executive management of accounting implications of various business transactions and establish a framework that helps to implement the business plan from an accounting perspective.Manage year-end audit process and act as a liaison between auditors and business units to coordinate all audit-related documentation.Coordinate tax provision and tax returns with support of external consultants.Serve as primary contact for operational finance team for accounting/tax -related questions.Prepare regulatory reports as required.Research technical guidance and develop internal accounting solutions.Lead and implement process improvement initiatives, establish accounting policies and procedures and ensure the are communicated and applied within the organization.Lead and develop the accounting team.Perform other responsibilities as assigned.REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field from an accredited institution.5+ years of Corporate Controller experience, with 10+ years of managerial experience in accounting.Construction industry experience.Advanced Excel as well as strong working knowledge of SAGE/Timberline.Impeccable judgement and ability to manage confidential informationAbility to strategically lead as well as roll-up sleeves and work at an operational level.Excellent cross-functional and interpersonal skills to develop team, evolve business processes and support business needs.
$175,000 - $215,000 a year
