Responsibilities
The Division of Endocrinology is seeking Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to work as a members on our outpatient practice teams, with specific interest in Nutrition/weight management, bone health, and/or pituitary, gonad, and adrenal systems. These are multi-disciplinary outpatient practices which focuses on the care of complex. Patients are seen in both individual appointments and in some settings can also been seen in a group setting. The use of Zoom virtual visits accompany traditional face-to-face encounters. The division has a rich base of clinical and research experience and has been ranked #1 in US News and World report for 28 consecutive years.
Our work is both challenging and rewarding. We continue to explore creative ways to provide individualized, quality, and timely care in a cost-effective manner. The provision of care includes, but is not limited to; comprehensive evaluation, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, diagnosis, and prescription of appropriate therapies.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from a Nurse Practitioner program. *Establishes and maintains current practice agreement with collaborating Mayo Clinic Rochester consultant physician(s). *Note: As of 1991, a Master of Science Degree in Nursing became the required educational preparation required for certification with the exception of Women's Health certification. This certification has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing as a minimum education requirement for certification.A Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) is preferred.Current Minnesota registered nurse license. Certified or eligible to be certified as a nurse practitioner before employment date by a national clarifying organization accepted by the Minnesota Board of Nursing. Certain positions may require DEA registration. BLS certification required. Certain positions may require additional life support certification. As of January 1, 2015 a current MN Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license.
