Job Description
The Director, Human Resources provides strategic human resources support and direction to operational leadership teams on organizational, leadership and talent strategies.
Reporting to the Senior Director Human Resources, the Director works closely with leaders to provide a positive work environment characterized by value and appreciation, open two-way communication, coaching and feedback, high performance, professional development, progressive organizational change to support efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic support and direction to leaders of assigned areas on a variety of issues including but not limited to organizational design, engagement, retention and change management.Partner with other HR Centers of Excellence to support leaders in recruitment, retention, recognition, employee relations, compensation, and/or benefits.Help business leaders understand and address the people implications of business decisions.Serve as a strategic partner to leaders on key people decisions and provide value-add intervention strategies.Develop, implement, and continuously improve processes, programs, policies, and procedures.Provide continuous education and coaching to leaders and ensure leadership compliance with Human Resources processes, programs, policies, and procedures and applicable state and federal regulations.Partner with the HR leadership team and leaders of assigned areas to ensure strategies are appropriately supported with the HR programs needed to provide competitive advantage.Candidate Requirements
We are seeking candidates with the following experience and qualifications.

xperience
Ten or more years of progressive experience in human resources with increasing responsibilities including experience directly advising and supporting senior leadership and at least three years serving in a leadership role.Experience implementing and optimizing people strategy (process, tools, and technologies) in complex, matrixed, high performing environment.At least five years of experience in a hospital or healthcare system setting is preferredE ducation and Certifications
A bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related curriculum is required.A master's degree in human resources, business administration, or public health is preferred.Professional human capital certification - SHRM PHR/SPHR or HRCI certification is preferred.Extensive experience in change management and organizational designKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrated ability to create, implement, market, measure and evaluate employee retention strategies.Strong organizational, communication, presentation, leadership, conflict resolution, and project management skills.Proven ability to diagnose and analyze data, identify options, implement solutions, measure impact and success.Expert level consulting skills. Ability to facilitate leadership groups and offer options for optimizing clinical care with human capital programs that allow our people to do their best work. Strong track record of coaching leaders as they navigate complex human capital situations.Expert level organizational analysis, design, and implementation skills. A track record of driving change in the organization by helping teams understand the change and how it impacts and may benefit them.Demonstrated track record recognizing the critical linkage between talent management and business success.Demonstrated ability engaging, mentoring, and developing others while also holding others accountable and addressing conflict directly.Working knowledge of applicable labor laws and regulations.Strong command of MS Office and Workday.Personal Characteristics
