What you can expect.

This is an opportunity to provide

psychiatric support and expertise within a special education school setting

for students ages 7 - 21. You will work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and other professionals to address the mental health needs of Sheppard Pratt's students with diverse learning and developmental disabilities.

Specific responsibilities include:

Conducting

psychiatric assessments of students

referred for evaluation, considering their unique learning and development needs.Providing

consultation to teachers, staff, and parents

regarding students' behavioral, emotional, or psychiatric concerns, offering guidance and strategies to support overall development.Monitoring students' respond to medication treatment , including the effectiveness of the prescribed medications in alleviating symptoms and improving functioning.What you'll get from us.

Must have a current license to practice in Maryland at time of hire.Must be Board certified.Must have at least six months of child and adolescent mental health treatment experience.
