Dove Cay, LLC, an affiliate of Rose Cay Maritime, LLC, is a provider of crewing and technical management services to owners of Jones Act vessels that provide maritime shipping services for clean and traditional energy products to a variety of customers across the U.S.

Description

Rose Cay Maritime is in search of a Tankerman to add to our growing team. We are looking for Tankermen with a minimum of 1- 2years experience on tugboats. We currently have openings in the Northeast/Gulf!

Responsibilities:Assures vessel is manned and operated in accordance with USCG vessel manning requirements.Makes sure all crew fully implement and operate the vessel in compliance with the classification society approved SMS.Maintains all vessel certificates and record books and advises the Master in advance of certificate inspections and due dates.Ensures maintenance and required inspections are completed with consultation with the Chief Engineer. Identifies additional inspections and/or maintenance required and assigns to vessel crew as applicable.Designated Person in Charge (PIC) of cargo operation during their watch.Assists with maintaining records of maintenance and inspections. Reports any instance that an inspection or maintenance activity cannot be completed to Lead Tankerman, Chief Engineer, or Vessel Master.Maintains all logs and other associated transfer paperwork with appropriate entries for the watch.Ensures that all defects, accidents, and near misses are reported to the Lead Tankerman or Vessel Master.Ensures that preventative maintenance is carried out as required by the Lead Tankerman, Chief Engineer, or Vessel Master.

Position Requirements

Must have Tankerman PIC.

Minimum 1-2 years Tankerman/Barge Mate Experience.

Must have current, up to date USCG Merchant Mariner Credential, Passport, STCW and TWIC card.

Able to be medically fit for duty upon pre-employment physical, annual physical, and drug screening, as well as participate in a background check.

High School diploma or equivalent.
