ChristianaCare is seeking a BC/BE Cardiac Surgeon

to join our Center for Heart & Vascular Health.

Join our comprehensive team at The Center for Heart and Vascular Health at ChristianaCare, consisting of 5 Cardiac Surgeons, 25 cardiologists and 16 advanced practice clinicians, in providing state-of-the-art treatments for cardiovascular diseases.

Position Highlights:ChristianaCare's experienced Cardiac Surgery team performs close to 1,000 procedures annually. The Center also provides advanced heart failure services including placement and management of left-ventricular assist devices.ChristianaCare is a regional referral center for patients throughout Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and southeastern Pennsylvania for cardiac surgery procedures.Surgery procedures include coronary artery bypass, aortic and mitral valve repair and replacement, TAVR, TEVAR, Lead extraction, Mitraclip, ECMO, VAD, complex aortic procedures, and robotic coronary procedures.Dedicated 18-bed combined cardiology/cardiac surgery ICU staffed 24/7 with dedicated Cardiac Surgery Intensivists, Cardiac Intensivists, experienced surgical advanced practice team and ICU nurses and 10-bed Cardiac Step-Down Unit.Structural heart room with dedicated Cardiac Surgery block time for these procedures in multidisciplinary partnerships with cardiology and vascular surgery.
