At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team.
The primary responsibility of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is: to see patients and provide brief psychotherapy and psychopharmacological medication management and refer to other psychiatric and medical services as needed. Works collaboratively with VRH primary care medical providers, practice staff, and community mental health providers. Engage the patient and family to develop treatment plans that address identified goals, participate in relevant and ongoing professional training, and conduct comprehensive patient assessments.
An ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
Master's or Doctorate Degree in Nursing with focus on Psychiatric nursing •Graduation from a state-certified advanced practice program specializing in psychiatry/mental healthMust be certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMH) as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)Experience in delivering high-quality, client-centered careAble to document and navigate EHR independentlyAbility to maintain strict client confidentialityStart your application now; we can't wait to talk to you.
