We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens position near Sacramento, CA. This role involves providing both clinic-based consultative care and performing GI procedures. The ideal candidate will be available to work for at least six months to a year. Assignment Duration : ASAP - Ongoing (6 months to a year)Primary Duties:Setting : Clinic and outpatientProcedures : Colonoscopy and endoscopy, 2-3 days per weekPatient Load :
16-20 patients per day in the clinic8-10 procedures per day in the outpatient center
Consultative and Follow-Up Care : Provide care in the ambulatory clinic settingSupport Staff : Assigned medical assistant and procedure schedulerKey Responsibilities:Clinic Setting : The provider will work 5 days a week in an outpatient clinic setting.GI Procedures : Perform routine GI procedures such as colonoscopies and endoscopies.Call : Minimal call responsibilities, primary focus is clinic and procedures.Requirements:Board Certification/Eligibility : GastroenterologyState License : Active California license requiredGastroenterology Fellowship : Strongly preferredMalpractice : Clean malpractice history strongly preferredEMR System:Cerner : Experience with Cerner EMR preferredCredentialing:Emergency/Temporary Privileges : Not availableStart Date : ASAP - Ongoing
