Conover Veterinary Hospital, a CareVet partner, has a tremendous opportunity to join our thriving practice in Conover, North Carolina.
This position offers a six-figure salary plus production, generous signing bonus package, paid family leave, schedule flexibility and more!

Together, the four veterinarians have a combined 152 years of experience in veterinary medicine!
Join our awesome community where clients are like family! We work hard to build and maintain strong bonds with our clients and patients. Our state-of-the-art hospital has five exam rooms and a dental suite, a surgical suite, equipped with ultrasound, digital dental radiographs and a therapy laser as well. Plus, we have full in-house labs. The Conover community has the small-town feel, but is a short drive from Charlotte, making it the perfect location. Charlotte is full of fun activities such as Carowinds and the US National Whitewater Center! You have access to lots of hiking trails and outdoor activities in the Appalachian Mountains. Surrounding Lake Hickory and Lake Norman provide a wonderful location for boating, fishing, and kayaking. Our location is in the heart of motorsports, with the NASCAR main headquarters down the road from the hospital. Plus, we have a thriving arts community, making it the perfect home for the whole family.

Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problemsTreat and dress woundsPerform surgery on animalsTest for and vaccinate against diseasesOperate medical equipment, such as x-ray machinesAdvise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatmentsPrescribe medicationWork closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality careQualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree requiredLicensure in the state/s candidate will be workingAbility to show compassion to both pets and their ownersOutstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasksAbility to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animalStrong fondness and understanding of animalsGood communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of animal behaviorAbility to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
