Job Summary:The Department of Medicine, Division of Geriatrics & Gerontology is seeking a Geriatrics Clinical Investigator. It is expected that the incumbent will successfully obtain ongoing extramural support to conduct research in the area of aging and geriatrics research with a preference in physical function and mobility research.

10%: Mentor graduate students and postdoctoral fellows and teach graduate-level courses in relevant fields as appropriate. Participate in professional, public, and university service appropriate to the faculty rank.

40-50%: Provide primary care and/or sub-specialty patient care with a focus on bone disease for our older adult population, with latitude to launch a new clinic that would deliver patient care within rural or urban Dane County UW Health Clinics. Provide clinical patient care and clinical teaching of residents, medical students and fellows.

The successful applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.
