The Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Penn State College of Medicine, Penn State Health, is seeking a fellowship-trained Microvascular Head and Neck Oncologic Surgeon to join our growing faculty. The ideal individual will have a solid technical background, an interest in continued academic and professional growth, and an ability to work well and collegially in an interdisciplinary team.

What we’re offering:

Join a division of 4 head and neck surgeons and department of 14 full-time physicians, 13 advanced practice providers, 9 audiologists and 22 speech-language pathologists

Division sees over 500 new cancer patients per year and performs 40-60 free flaps and 20-30 pedicled flaps on average per year

Strong referral base from Lancaster, Reading, Lebanon Veterans Hospital, Gettysburg, and Harrisburg

Growing clinical trial portfolio with 5 co-op trials currently open with 3 trials in the pipeline

Fleet of da Vinci robots at Hershey, including da Vinci SP

Collaborative care with neurosurgery, dermatology and Mohs surgeons, plastic surgery, oculoplastic surgery, medical oncology and radiation oncology

Participation in medical student, resident and fellow education

Appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor level, dependent on qualifications

Position Requirements

M.D., M.D./Ph.D., D.O., or equivalent degree

BC/BE Otolaryngology and completion of a Head and Neck fellowship

Experience treating a wide spectrum of head and neck surgical oncology including training in microvascular reconstruction

Ability to acquire license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania

Must be able to obtain valid federal and state narcotics certificates
