Job Summary
:
Maintain an independent safety culture where employees gain personal knowledge, commitment, and standards. Require everyone to have a personal value and care for self, through constant coaching, and training. Award individual recognition. Maintain safety documentation, analysis, and trends. Conduct regular safety inspections to cover the entire facility including critical equipment that may cause an emergency response.
Supervisory Responsibilities If Any:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop, Plan, and Implement Safety Programs that meet Regulatory Compliance.Manage Occupational Health and Workers Compensation along with required Environmental Compliance.Implement programs to support contractor requirements of the Construction Standard 29 CFR 1926.Maintain the Chemical Process that falls under the Safety Standard (29 CFR 1910.119).Continuously training of Supervisors, Managers and hourly employees on specific policies and programs.Maintain Driver files within Company's and DOT's guidelines.Conducts root cause analyses and preventative/corrective action follow-upMonitors and reviews accident investigation reports and ensures appropriate follow up; participates in claim reviews, mediations, and hearings; reviews worker compensation costs and monitors claims.Educates employees in proper safety procedures, safe work practices and policies.Develops, evaluates, and recommends process and equipment changes and improvements to maximize safety and improve environmental impacts of operations.Maintains the Environmental Program (EPA/Wastewater).
Required Skills & Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to conduct training.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong managerial and leadership skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Training programs (Alchemy), and other related software.Ability to anticipate needs, forecast conditions, set goals/standards and measure results.Ability to work well with others.Ability to compose reports, business correspondence, and SOP's.Ability to provide leadership and guidance to members of the safety team.Percent to Travel If Any: 10%

Education & Experience:
At least five years of occupational health and safety experience in an industrial environment required.Bachelor's degree in health and safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field preferred.Physical Requirements:
Cold and fast paced environment.Manufacturing setting.Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.Ability to travel throughout facility as required to conduct safety inspections.Schedule M-F and weekends when needed.
