Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise.

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
The Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery (ENT) team at
Essentia Health South University location is comprised
of 3 MDs, 3 APPs and 3 audiologists. This engaged and
inspired team collaborates to ensure the highest level
of care. The team works to achieve health and vitality in
our communities by caring for patients in the clinic
setting and creating an environment to exceed the
expectations of our patients and families. We are
committed to zero preventable harm and providing the
highest quality and service to all patients that we serve.
Essentia Health is led through a dyad leadership
structure. A clinician assumes responsibility for the
clinical vision, alongside a dyad partner in operations.

DEPARTMENT PROGRAMS
• Full spectrum General Otolaryngology practice to
include pediatric through geriatric patients.
• AAOA Allergy lab.
• Audiometric and Vestibular studies.

PA: Bachelor’s degree in a health/science-related field
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
NP:
Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state.
Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in appropriate state.
Current certification in CPR.
National certification in applicable area.
Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice
PA:
Current licensure as a physician assistant in appropriate state.
Current certification in CPR.
National certification.
Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice
