Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise.

Education Qualifications:

NP: Master's degree in nursing

PA: Bachelor’s degree in a health/science-related field

Our outstanding Interventional Neurology team seamlessly collaborates with our experienced Comprehensive Stroke Program, comprising of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, a Stroke Program Manager, a Stroke Educator, and a Stroke Program Data Specialist.

Monday-Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm.

Inpatient call coverage 1:2 during business hours with MD support and collaboration.

Manage care and assist with Interventional Neurology Endovascular Procedures.

Ability to partner with exceptional physician mentor leads in our Interventional Neurology Department.

Clinic patients include Stroke, TIA, Carotid Stenosis, Aneurysms, and Complex Neurological Disorders.

Volumes:

Inpatient: 2-4 consults per day with daily follow-up and rounding.

Outpatient: 8-12 patients per day

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. Position requires a high level of patient-centered skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution.

Prefer candidates with background/experience in Neurology or Stroke.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state (if NP).

Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in appropriate state.

Current certification in CPR

National certification, in applicable area.

Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
