Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures and services. Your role will be crucial in ensuring timely reimbursement for medical services provided.

Duties:- Review and analyze medical records to determine appropriate codes for billing- Enter coded data into billing software systems- Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any billing issues- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records- Collaborate with medical office staff to ensure proper documentation and coding practices- Assist with medical collections as needed

To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:

Minimum of 5 years medical billing experienceOut-of-network billing experience strongly preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsReview submitted claims for accuracyConduct timely follow-up and research on all unpaid claims with insurance companiesWork on insurance appeals and corrected claims correspondenceUtilize all available portals for claim informationCreate and submit appeals and corrected claims packets, and other disputes, as necessaryAssist with obtaining pre-authorizations when neededStrong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and ICD-9 coding systemsProficiency in using medical billing software systemsFamiliarity with medical office procedures and workflowsAttention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processesExcellent communication skills to interact with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providersAbility to work independently and meet deadlines
