Job Summary:The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a member of Coventry's district-wide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Team. RBT's support students and staff under the supervision of a district Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Provide a consistent model of trauma-informed ABA practicesModel professionalism and adhere to the ethical standards set forth by the BACBProvide constructive feedback to 1:1 staff supporting individualized student programsWork with individual students to reinforce basic skills and check their use of instructional materials under the supervision of the teacher/BCBAModel and monitor data collection procedures with a focus on consistency and fidelityCollaborate with the teacher/BCBA to complete curriculum-based assessments that guide individualized programmingSupport generalization and maintenance of skills across school environmentsWork collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support student needsSafely supervise students in both instructional and assessment activities in and out of the classroomAssist the teacher/BCBA in the development and construction of materials to be used as instructional and reinforcement activitiesQualifications:
High School Diploma or GED RequiredRegistered as a Behavior Technician with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
Completion of 40 hour RBT TrainingBCBA verified competency checklistApplication through BACB accountTake and pass the RBT exam through Pearson Vue
