Indorama Ventures – Inovinya is currently looking to hire a Principal Accounting Officer to work in The Woodland, TX office. The Principal Accounting Officer is a strategic business partner who will lead and scale our CORPORATE FINANCE function across the entire organization. (NA & SA regions)
This role will have the opportunity to not only influence the vision of IOD-ID but will help grow and manage the business through fund raising and debt management, risk & currency management, efficient tax management and all regulatory finance compliance for a listed entity.
This leader will take a hands-on approach in partnering with the business to drive the right decisions through actionable insights and analyses.
The successful leader must be ready to roll up their sleeves and dive into the data, systems, and models, while growing and developing a team to ensure a consistent approach to CORPORATE FINANCE is taken across the organization.
A hands-on yet strategic leader who can oversee the tools and processes to help us scale for the future. He/she will also bring a strong analytical toolset, and proven experience managing the planning activities of a large, complex company.
This is a highly influential role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and requires a deep passion for operational efficiency and business.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced senior leader and a potential successor to the Chief Financial Officer.
What You’ll Do:
Principal Accounting Officer will work alongside the Leadership Team and take ownership of the company’s fiscal and regulatory matters. The role will lead the Tax, Treasury, Commercial Affairs, Corporate Finance and Statutory and Regulatory reporting requirements.
In conjunction with the CFO, provide financial leadership in determining the organization’s overall direction and create a risk-intelligent culture with a positive impact on employees.
Critically examine the risks and expected returns on different corporate strategic alternatives under the direction of the CEO/CFO.
Management of the financial operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy.
Determine the accounting and tax implications for all material business decisions.
Responsible for timely, accurate and complete quarterly financial reporting, review and submit SEC documents, ensuring quality and administering to strict timelines.
The person will partner with the CFO/CEO, the management team, and the board to develop the company’s strategies, goals, and objectives.
Monitor the financial performance of the company by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective action, and minimalizing the impact of variances.
Play a pivotal role in establishing guidelines and benchmarks for the corporate development team to use in the vetting process for potential M&A targets, including assessing the financial quality. Assess the financial risk and reward in order to validate the profitability of any proposed transaction to support an informed strategic decision.
Identify and ensure any financial synergies to post-transaction integrations are obtained.
Embrace and enable new digital and automation capabilities to support identification and targeting of new value across the business to drive business-wide operational transformation that will future proof the organization.
Build a strong and effective management team, valuing different contributions, engendering openness, and trust, and involving people in issues that affect them.
Build and maintain an optimal global organizational structure and allocate resources to projects and initiatives.
Oversee and approve the hiring of staff, manage performance expectations, staff development and succession planning.
Create an environment that motivates people; Identify development opportunities for self and others; Act as a coach and mentor and shares expertise.
Provide financial analysis to improve processes and performance, supporting effective business decision making.
Develop and implement proper and effective internal financial control and SOX compliances needed for SEC listing.
Collaborate and contribute to the Senior Leadership Team and BOD to improve overall company performance.
Coordinate the preparation of annual, quarterly, and monthly reports.
Manage insurance coverage for the organization, including compliance.
Process the financial activities of an organization to maximize a company’s profits and plan for its growth.
Timely and accurately provide reporting of financial information to internal parties, government regulators and outside agencies.
Partner with the CFO to support corporate finance activities, including capital raising and investment activities.
Conduct regular audits of expenditures, assets, and liabilities.
Ensure a company complies with tax laws and regulations specific to that industry Upgrade and implement an appropriate system of policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and procedures.
Cash management and minimal exposure to credit risk, counter party risk measures are in place.
Improve administrative and operational accounting services such as treasury management, grants payment processing, payroll, accounts payable, and purchasing.
In addition, you will be responsible for ad hoc analysis, executive level decks for C-level staff members, and Board of Directors reporting. In this capacity, you will lead and manage results for the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
Create a culture of CORPORATE FINANCE excellence where the function is viewed as a strategic partner on financial matters, providing guidance and assistance to all functional groups as needed.
Prepare executive presentations and recommendations to senior management and the Board of Directors.
The Qualifications:
20+ years of experience with a minimum of 10 years CORPORATE FINANCE experience.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience. CPA/CFA a plus, MBA strongly preferred.
Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to see, and model current and future states.
Experience with SAP S4 Hana environment, BI Tools and/or SQL is a must.
Proven experience in scaling companies, driving change, and supporting growing teams within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Effective and persuasive in leading change, applying business acumen, company values, while demonstrating the emotional intelligence that inspires others.
Builds collaborative relationships across various partners and influences senior stakeholders.
Must demonstrate a deep familiarity with financial accounting, modeling, and analysis.
Must be an analytical thinker that will drive qualitative and quantitative analysis for strategic business issues.
