As the Business Transformation (BT) Lead with a focus on Business Process Reengineering (BPR)/Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), you will support the Department of the Navy (DON) Process Improvement Office (PIO) in this KEY Lead position.This KEY position/Lead role supports Business Transformation (BT) Workstream with project design, execution, and sustainment in support of internal (e.g., stakeholder alignment and engagement, process improvement trainings) and external facing projects (e.g., improving the throughput of operational processes). This role will also require a problem-solving mindset - constantly seeking opportunities to improve how the client does business and engages with stakeholders. There will be opportunities for growth and expansion as this client is eager to expand the brand of this office and ultimately, improve operational outcomes across the Department of the Navy - you are joining a world-class, consultative, and high performing team dedicated to our Nation's warfighters.ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.You must live in the national capital region (NCR) and be available to commit to work onsite at the Pentagon two (2) days per week; three (3) days per week are remote work.In this role, you will support the USN by applying your experience in the following areas:Expert-level knowledge of industry accepted standards and best practices related to large-scale business transformation improvement program stand-up from program inception, development, implementation, and operational management.Expert-level knowledge and experience leading enterprise process improvement projects, initiatives, portfolios and programs.Expert-Level knowledge and experience standing-up Enterprise-wide improvement programs in large global organizations of 8,000 employees or larger.Experience creating relevant enterprise improvement program documentation, such as: SOPs, tools, templates, guidebooks, governance documentation and other such relevant materials.Experience providing LSS Training and Mentorship to senior level practitioners.In depth understanding of DoD organization(s) - preferably Navy - structure, leadership, culture, and how to affect change in this environment.Experience with business process modeling.Experience with reengineering processes.A strong understanding of the available knowledge management platforms in the Department of the Navy (DON) and OPNAV (e.g., Flank Speed, MSFT SharePoint, MS Teams, Power BI);Providing recommendations for knowledge management processes.QualificationsTo be successful in this roll, you will have:An active SECRET security clearance.BA/BS (4 years' additional experience substitutes for a bachelor's degree).8+ years of hands-on experience in business systems analysis.Six Sigma Black Belt (BB) Certification from reputable certifying entity such as ASQ or equivalent.Knowledge of the Navy and DON organization.Experience supporting military customers.Ability to produce briefing slides, metric charts, program schedules, and organizational charts.Proficiency in SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, & Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.You must live in the national capital region (NCR) and be available to commit to work onsite at the Pentagon two (2) days per week; three (3) days per week are remote work.Additional experience that may set you apart:Client centricity - A drive to make our client's lives easier, proactively identify opportunities to support their agenda and take work "off their plate".Executive presence - Ability to confidently present recommendations to very senior leadership (e.g., 3-star admirals, Tier 3 SES) as well as respectfully convey dissenting opinions based on prior knowledge, intuition, or experience.Knowledge of "the building" - Experience working in and around the Pentagon; relationships with leaders currently in the Dept. of Navy Secretariat (e.g., ASN FM&C) and/or OPNAV is preferred.Forward looking - Can anticipate future challenges or issues based on direction of the project and proactively craft solutions to mitigate risk to project success.Problem solving - Ability to quickly diagnose a problem, identify the root cause, and then develop innovative solutions.Quick learner - Can digest a large amount of technical information and then distill it into digestible, easy to understand "sound bites" that resonate to a non-technical audience.Support staff experience at DoN, OPNAV, NAVSEA, Program Executive Offices (PEOs)/Program Offices, or other Pentagon Offices.Experience includes regular interactions with staff and senior leadership internal and external to affiliated organization.If you are interested in supporting and working with our military and sailors and a passionate team, please submit your application now for immediate consideration.
