Your JobGeorgia-Pacific is seeking a Reliability Engineering Supervisor to join our Clatskanie, OR team. The Reliability Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for continuously looking for opportunities to increase reliability and uptime, striving for 100% in assigned areas.
Our TeamThis position requires a highly motived individual who enjoys working in a multi-faceted environment. The individual will be expected to support Operational and Maintenance personnel while adhering to a safe and environmentally responsible work environment. This position will require team skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate should also have a strong sense of personal drive, a desire to develop expertise, and the ability to work without constant supervision. This position will also be expected to provide technical and engineering support and troubleshooting advice to maintenance and various operational areas. Long-term value is created through the application of the company's business philosophy of Principle Based Management.
What You Will DoParticipate and support in all areas to meet Environmental, Health & Safety excellenceProvide support to operational areas with emphasis on short and long-term reliability improvementsProvide leadership to drive continuous improvement with asset and site reliabilityMentor and develop hourly direct reports in aligning with Koch Principle Based ManagementLead and support the Lubrication Techs with execution of the Lubrication Program, Oil Analysis, implementation of new Technology, and procurement of required materialsLead and support the Vibrations Techs with execution of the Vibration PdM program and procurement of required materialsResponsible for Lubrication and Vibe Route Adherence, Atonix Alert Resolution, and continuous Lubrication Product Optimization/ConsolidationWork closely with the GP Remote Monitoring Team, NW Reliability Team, and Andritz Reliability Team members to drive improvements and waste elimination in support of the Mill achieving its full potentialReview plans for new equipment and contribute to the Design for Reliability process by validating reliability and maintainability of the systemsSupport implementation of reliability processes aimed at developing skilled maintenance and operating personnel who operate with a reliability-centric mindsetAnalyze operational data (KPIs, OEE, etc.) to identify gaps and areas of potential improvementWork with other Reliability Engineers to share knowledge and gain expertise in development of mill wide reliability strategiesActively participate in design and implementation of Asset Improvement Strategies for systems to improve production and uptimeApply sound logic and scientific principles to problem solvingEffectively manage multiple priorities and customers simultaneouslyWork both individually with little supervision and together with a teamWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Reliability experience in a manufacturing/industrial or military environmentExperience using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and OutlookWhat Will Put You AheadBachelor's Degree in Mechanical EngineeringPulp and Paper industry experienceCertification or continued education in reliability applications, practices, and managementExperience with Reliability Improvement tools (Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Preventative/Predictive maintenance, KPIsSix Sigma experience or certification#LI-AG4
