Description
A successful Branch Manager directly manages staff and drives branch performance. You will be responsible for managing the member experience in accordance with Credit Union core values while meeting branch sales goals. You will be responsible for business development in the area surrounding your branch and will be the face of the company with local organizations. You will participate in the hiring of individuals needed to staff your branch and will serve as a mentor and coach to those individuals. You will be responsible for directing the branch work flow and professional operation of the branch. You will report branch activities, goals and action plans to the management team as they align with larger company goals.
Requirements
The Position
Maintain a highly motivated and well-trained staff and effective employee relations; support hiring efforts through conducting interviews as needed Evaluate and implement procedures for the branches; ensure compliance with credit union policies and procedures, and federal and state laws and regulations set forth by NCUA and other regulatory agencies Monitor branch activity, including number of transactions, volume, product sales and new accounts Ensure on-going training for staff on products and services and create and maintain a cross-selling environment within the branches Manage the security and safety of branches through analyzing and monitoring security and safety procedures on an on-going basis Monitor branch operations and appearance to ensure a consistent and professional atmosphere, Present solutions to member problems/concerns and intervene as necessary on the Member Service Representatives behalf Utilize performance tools provided by the Credit Union to conduct and document weekly one on one meetings, prepare and administer employee performance reviews and coaching sessions Ensure the completion of tasks and activities assigned to staff whether daily, monthly or on an as needed basis Be aware of and leverage local events, organizations and climate that may present opportunities for business development of the branch and Credit Union such as Chamber of Commerce, festivals, fairs, etc The Candidate
Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills necessary for servicing credit union members and projecting a positive image as representative for the credit union Work requires extensive knowledge of all credit union products and services, member service and selling skills, and teller procedures Ability to take responsibility and participate in a team effort to provide continuous member service and meet member needs Ability to make independent decisions following established credit union policies and procedures Ability to direct and lead others Must have previous, successfully demonstrated, sales and management skills Ability to maintain training and assist in the growth and development of branch staff Associate's degree or two years relevant experience Knowledge of teller functions, products and financial services, along with daily branch operations and procedures Two years sales experience and one year management/supervisory experience, preferably in financial services
