Position Overview

PE-backed company
in the
Austin, Texas Metro Area , is seeking a
Director of FP&A
to lead the financial planning and analysis function. The Director of FP&A will be responsible for overseeing the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes, while providing critical insights to support strategic decision-making. This role is pivotal to driving financial performance and ensuring the company's growth trajectory is aligned with its financial objectives. The successful candidate must be able to work
on-site 3 days a week .
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the
financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function , including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.Develop and maintain
financial models
to support decision-making and long-term planning.Provide
data-driven insights
and recommendations to senior leadership, helping shape the company's strategic direction.Analyze business performance and identify key drivers of
financial performance
and areas for improvement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between
financial goals
and
operational objectives .Monitor and report on
key performance indicators (KPIs) , identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.Support the
capital allocation process , including scenario analysis, project ROI, and investment prioritization.Lead
monthly and quarterly financial reviews , presenting results to the executive team and private equity stakeholders.Assist in driving
M&A activities , including financial due diligence, valuation, and post-acquisition integration.Continuously assess and improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and system efficiency.Qualifications
Proven experience as a
Director of FP&A
or senior financial leader, ideally within a PE-backed or high-growth environment.Expertise in
financial modeling , forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.Strong background in providing
strategic financial insights
and supporting data-driven decision-making at the executive level.Experience with
capital allocation
processes and supporting M&A activities.Advanced proficiency in financial software and
Microsoft Excel .Strong
leadership and communication skills , with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and at the executive level.Bachelor's degree
in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.Compensation and Benefits
