Your Role
As a Global Account Manager, you will identify, qualify, and secure business opportunities for assigned Global Accounts (GAs) mainly within Consumer Healthcare and Animal Health industry’s verticals in line with the Contract Logistics (CL) strategy. You'll collaborate on strategy development and execution with the CL Vertical Head, define and implement growth strategies for GAs, and ensure proactive account management. Your role also involves optimizing business retention within the GA portfolio and participating in Product Development and Quality/Regulatory workstreams as needed.
Your Responsibilities
Supports the Global Head of CL Customer Development Vertical for the strategy definition and alignment with and other KN stakeholders in Healthcare vertical.
Active contract/key account management for selected number of accounts (GAs) where will act point of contact and main interface for the customers. Overall account ownership includes identifying, developing, defining, negotiating, and contract signing.
Understands the customers business model and business environment as well as the competitive environment of the customer.
Works in close cooperation with CL's Global Operating Standards (GOS) team on defining and implementing product development strategy to capture customer and business demands.
In accordance with the agreed RACI, coordinates new business opportunities, steers global/cross-borderprojects, provides RFQ visibility and act as global point of entry.
Supports the development of other accounts (National Accounts) in the relevant countries according tothe agreed RACI.
Support countries with know-how and best practice sharing.
Enable and control proper governance on operational excellence, profitability and business development.
Organizing and hosting service related business development workshops with country / regional BD communities.
Your Skills and Experiences
Minimum 5+ years business development and accountmanagement experience.
Good knowledge of the Contract Logistics services and operating model as part of the overall supply chain.
Proven track record of navigating a global environmentswith international exposure.
Strong relationship management skills with both external and internal stakeholders.
Strong operational understanding of Contract Logistics (ideally in implementation of projects, operational roles, business development, engineering or customer management) as well as strong interest in new technologies and latest innovation in the warehousing and distribution environment.
Strong understanding and experience within the vertical industry and experience in supply chain/fulfilment logistics is essential.
Strong understanding of project management discipline and solutions as well as the ability to manage projects, teams, stakeholders and deliver agreed solutions and deadlines.
Analytical mindset and capability of long-term strategic development as well as short-term immediate problem solving.
Affinity with continuous improvement practices (e.g., lean six sigma).
Good knowledge of vertical related regulatory landscape in different geographies (if applicable).
High customer orientation and strong communication skills for discussions and negotiation with various hierarchical levels as well as internal and external interest groups across the globe, including escalation management.
Basic understanding of Finance and interpretation of P&L.
Business acumen and can spot business development opportunities for the company.
Willingness to travel globally.
