We are currently seeking an experienced
Interventional Radiologist
for a locum tenens position near Bismarck, ND. This role offers a mix of day shifts and on-call responsibilities, providing a wide variety of interventional radiology procedures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnostic and therapeutic vascular interventions, as well as a willingness to take on-call shifts that include both evenings and weekends.Position Details:Specialty : Interventional RadiologyLocation : Near Bismarck, NDSchedule : ASAP - OngoingShift Type : Days with evening and weekend callShift Hours : 8-hour days, typically 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM; evening call from 4:00 PM - 8:00 AM; 24-hour weekend callRequired Procedures:Diagnostic Vascular Intervention :
Angiography (venous and arterial)
Therapeutic Vascular Intervention :
Angioplasty (venous and arterial)Stenting (venous and arterial)Thrombolytic therapyEmbolization therapy
General Interventional Procedures :
Vascular access devices (e.g., PICCs, central lines, port-a-cath insertions)IVC filter placementTIPS proceduresAspiration and drainage proceduresPercutaneous needle biopsies (including bone)Extractions (biliary & renal)Abscess drainageThoracentesis, paracentesis, myelography
Pain Management Procedures :
Joint and epidural injectionsVertebroplastyArthrogramsBlood patch
Other Procedures :
Uterine artery embolizationLiver Y90/TACEGastrostomy tube insertionNephrostomy and ureteral stent insertionRenal fistulogramsCryoablation
Preferred but Not Required : Neuro-stroke thrombectomyPractice Setting:Hospital-Based Setting : Full hospital support with specialized IR staffEMR System : EpicRequirements:Board Certification : RequiredState License : Active North Dakota medical license required (no licensing assistance provided)Certifications : ACLS requiredExperience : Must be proficient in a wide range of IR procedures; neuro (head) stroke thrombectomy experience is a plus but not mandatoryWork Expectations:On-Call Requirements : Evening call from 4:00 PM - 8:00 AM and 24-hour weekend callPatient Load : Mix of diagnostic and therapeutic cases, with a wide variety of procedures expected daily
