We are seeking a
Director of Finance Strategy
to join our team! Reporting to the CFO, the Director of Finance Strategy is a senior member of the ATLAS Finance team and will be plays a critical role in supporting and optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the CFO and the finance department. This strategic role involves overseeing key projects, coordinating cross-functional activities, managing executive communications, and ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals and strategies. The Chief of Staff acts as a trusted advisor to the CFO, serving as a liaison between the CFO and other stakeholders both internally and externally.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Strategic Support:
Provide strategic support to the CFO in the development and implementation of financial plans, initiatives,and policies.Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and other documents for board meetings and other high-levelengagementsConduct research and analysis to provide insights for decision-making on financial and operationalmatters• Project Management:
Lead and manage key projects on behalf of the CFO, ensuring timely and effective executionCoordinate cross-functional teams to drive initiatives aligned with the company’s financial goalsTrack progress of ongoing projects and report on milestones, risks, and opportunities• Operational Efficiency:
Identify and implement process improvements within the finance department to increase efficiency andeffectivenessOversee the daily operations of the CFO's office, including managing schedules, priorities, andcommunicationsEnsure alignment of departmental activities with the company’s broader financial strategy• Communication Liaison:
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the CFOFacilitate communication between the CFO and senior management, ensuring information flow is efficientand effectiveDraft and review communications, presentations, and correspondence on behalf of the CFO• Financial Planning Analysis
Support the CFO in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activitiesAnalyze financial data and provide recommendations for improving financial performanceCollaborate with the finance team to monitor financial KPIs and ensure alignment with strategic objectives• Executive Support
Manage the CFO’s calendar, prioritizing meetings, and engagementsPrepare briefing materials and agendas for meetings, ensuring the CFO is well-prepared for alldiscussions and decisionsHandle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, a related field, or relevant work experience.• 7+ years experience in finance, consulting, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership or strategicsupport role• Proven experience in project management, financial analysis, and executive support.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.• Excellent project management skills with a track record of leading cross-functional initiatives.• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior executivesand external stakeholders.• High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information.• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.• Proficiency in financial software and tools, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and adaptable approach.• Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders across the organization.• Strong leadership presence, with the ability to represent the CFO and the finance department effectively.
Technical Requirements:
• ERP experience, Deltek Vantagepoint preferred• Advanced MS Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint• SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx experience to analyze large datasets• One Stream experience a plus
Compensation:
$174,000 - $175,000 annually
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
