Position Summary:
Reporting directly to the VP of Finance at AccuWeather, the Human Resource Director will collaborate with company senior leadership to plan, develop, and review company strategies and the policies and procedures of the Human Resource department, ensuring legal compliance and supporting the organization's mission strategy to help achieve overall company revenue and goals.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
:Collaborates with AccuWeather leadership to understand and integrate the organization's strategic goals related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.Plans, develops, coordinates, implements, and reviews HR policies, processes, and training initiatives to support strategic HR compliance and needs.Gathers key metrics and prepares insightful reports to develop metric-driven strategies that support business objectives.Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends, providing data-driven insights to shape HR strategies.Strong commitment to and advancement of the company's diversity, equity, and inclusion goals through strategic initiatives and programs.Administers or oversees the administration of HR programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, morale, occupational health, safety, and training.Leads the monitoring and compliance efforts with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, recommending and implementing best practices.Reviews and modifies HR policies and practices to maintain legal compliance and align with strategic goals.Maintains knowledge of HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies, applying this knowledge to enhance HR policies and communicate changes to senior management.Leads employee engagement and retention initiatives that tie directly into long-term financial planning and workforce stability.Implements succession planning and leadership development initiatives to ensure the long-term financial health of the organization by maintaining a strong talent pipeline and reducing recruitment costs.Serves as the voice of AccuWeather's human capital in board meetings, finance committee meetings, external government agencies, and internal and external strategy meetings.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent education and experience.At least seven years of human resource management experienceExcellent written and oral communication skillsDemonstrated ability to lead an HR operational teamPrevious experience as a trusted advisor to company senior executivesPrevious experience with HR metrics and reporting.Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.Experience working in a multi-location environment is highly desirable.HR certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) highly preferred.Benefits:
