The Opportunity
Delaware North Sportservice is hiring for a Catering Manager to join our team at Petco Park in San Diego, California. As a Catering Manager, you will partner with the Food and Beverage Director and Senior Catering Manager to ensure all hospitality operations at Petco Park run efficiently to create memorable experiences for guests.
Pay
Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $66560 - $73700 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. Responsibilities
Lead training, scheduling, and supervising of team members from the catering department
Monitor food and beverage orders produce daily sales and accounts receivable reports
Prepare operational reports, and keep records of purchases, requisitions, and liquor logs
Monitor customer service feedback and develop standards of service that are shared with the catering team
Assist with menu pricing strategies for optimizing cost and control
Develop and maintain positive client relationships
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience in a hospitality environment
No college degree required
Knowledge of food preparation, inventory, and cost control measures
Excellent verbal communication and supervisory skills
Ability to analyze and make data-driven decisions
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. with constant bending and other repetitive motions
Ability to stand for extended periods of time including outdoors in all weather
