In this position you will oversee a small team and work to develop it, identifying and onboarding new hires and mentoring the existing team of biologists/environmental specialist.As Director of Natural Resources, you will:Oversee a small team and work to develop it, identifying and onboarding new hires and mentoring the existing team of biologists/environmental specialist.Drive technical reporting and project oversight to ensure the team is meeting quality standards.Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients in the Energy Sector, Transportation/Government Sectors as well as industry associations.Attend industry association meetings and networking events to market the company and further the company brand.
As Director of Natural Resources, you are:A trusted leader, skilled in mentoring a biology and natural resources team, with a passion for building community relationships through networking and a visible leadership presence. Are excited and motivated to help a business grow to its fullest potential.An expert in biological, ecological, NEPA and environmental issues have successfully managed multiple, large, and complex projects from start to finish.A team leader - you have experience in building, developing, and mentoring a team.Happy being on the road - visiting job sites, meeting with potential customers and referral partners and able to travel.Relationship driven - you enjoy attending networking events and building relationships.
As Director of Natural Resources, you have:Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Ecology, Biology, Fish and Wildlife Science, Natural Resource Science or related field.Experience working in the environmental or biological science industry.You have proven expertise with environmental construction permitting (NEPA) and can contribute to the proposal process, oversee regulatory matters, and provide guidance to the team.
General CharacteristicsServes as a mentor or advisor on project team as needed; well- rounded with aspects of consulting, industry standards and Company protocols; setspriorities and reconciles directions from competing interests, required to participate in professional societies andindustry associations.Minimum Years of Experience20+ Years of ExperienceEducationBachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences orsimilar field of studyTechnical ResponsibilitiesShould have advanced knowledge of appropriate analyses, regulation, and study protocols to meet clientneeds.Project and Task ManagementMay manage projects, up to $250,000 in yearly value, without GAI President's approval, but is a small component of overall work.Management ResponsibilityInitiates and manages client relationships; Serves as Client Manager and leads Business Development Initiatives; Serves as an assistant to the Environmental Director; Senior Director or Officer.
