POSITION OVERVIEW:

The general responsibilities of the Group Leader are to provide intensive and extensive academic services to children from ages 5-13 years of age, organize, teach and/or provide academic and recreational enhancement services to the ACDP program.
Pays $18 per hour
KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Understand and enforce after-school program expectations, policies and protocolsDesign and implement educational and recreational activitiesActively participate in program-wide or division-wide activitiesFacilitate the adherence to the after-school scheduleSupervise homework and other in-class activitiesCommunicate with Program Coordinator about any schedule modifications or important behavioral or environmental issuesDemonstrate appropriate communication with families, teachers, staff, and childrenAttend regular staff meetings and Professional Development trainingsTrack attendance, performance, and behavior (positive and negative) through accurate record keepingReport regularly to the Director of After-School Services and as necessary to the Agency Director of Educational and other program directorsCollaborate with the after-school staff at other after-school sitesOrganize special events as necessaryAssist individual students with homework as time permitsOther duties as assigned by supervisorREQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma required with college enrollment2 years of experience working with youths preferredAnalytical, Communication and Organizational skillsBilingual a plusComputer literate, including experience with Microsoft Office, local area networks and the Internet
