A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PHYSICAL THERAPIST (PT)

As a PT, you are responsible for evaluating, developing, implementing, and documenting a plan of treatment for patients of all ages. In addition, this position is responsible for serving as a case manager providing supervision of students, physical therapist assistants (PTA), and home care aides.

Actively monitors and amends patient visit schedule to maximize productivity and patient needs.

Performs comprehensive (OASIS and PT) assessments of assigned patients.

Develops a plan of care to promote optimal functional independence and safety as documented by clinical record.

Plans for and provides skilled physical therapy treatment including, but not limited to, therapeutic techniques, patient/care giver education, and assessing the patient's status and progress on each visit.

As Care Manager and/or team member, coordinates patient care with other clinical team members.

Supervises and directs clinical activities of PTAs, PT students, and home care aides.

Completes and coordinates required paperwork.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PHYSICAL THERAPIST

Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university or college required. Master's degree preferred.

2+ years of PT experience is

preferred .

Valid State Driver's License required.
