General Summary of PositionConducts routine tests for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease and performs related duties following established standards and practices.\r
\rPrimary Duties and ResponsibilitiesCollects statistical data, cost analysis, and daily tallies for reports.Consults with supervisor, pathologist regarding difficult analysis or abnormal findings.Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.Maintains inventory supply, stocks and maintains neat, orderly work area.May perform specimen procurement as required.

\rMinimum QualificationsEducation
Associate's degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program required or60 semester hours including 24 semester hours of medical lab technology, required or60 semester hrs including 24 hrs of science that includes 6 hrs chemistry, 6 hrs biology and 12 hrs chemistry, biology, required oror medical lab tech in any combination plus laboratory training that includes either completion of a clinical lab training program required or3 months training in each specialty in which high complexity testing is performed. required

\rLicenses and Certifications
ASCP - Medical Technologist ASCP certification preferred.\r preferred

Verbal and written communication skills.Basic computer skills preferred.

This position has a hiring range of $25.35 - $42.23\r
