Family - Urgent Care Physician, Express Clinic Rhode IslandHealth Center is seeking a Family or Urgent Care Physician interested in refreshing their urgent care skills, or a primary care family physician looking for more flexible work schedule. The Express Clinic Physician conducts a program of care with total responsibility for examination, diagnosis, and treatment of patients. Secures history and physical examination of the patient in outpatient service. Utilizes laboratory & diagnostic services, as necessary. Makes a diagnosis & prescribes treatment as indicated. Seeks outside advice & consultation as necessary; refers for medical surgical or other adjunct services those patients requiring specialty consultation, or for confirmation of diagnosis & treatment. Participates in preventive medicine activities such as immunization, disease detection, & prevention. Coordinates an education program for the patient & family. Refers patients to emergency room as necessary. Although the Express Clinic position requires some weekend shifts, it also affords good time off. This is a new position joining a welcoming collegial team of urgent care MDs and NPs. Opening an additional Express Clinic, and this new physician will be part of the team that launches the new center.
