Responsibilities
Perform financial/strategic analysis on issues affecting the business including market analysis of new projects, profitability, return on assets, and inventory turnoverWork with representatives from each functional area (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Accounting, etc.) to develop/present cohesive business strategiesCommunicate issues and provide solutions to upper managementProvide comprehensive analyses and summaries on business decisions, including product line moves, component sourcing and facilities rationalizationPrepare and analyze divisional profit and capital forecasts (including quarterly, annual and five-year forecasts)Manage internal reporting process, including the accumulation and analysis of capital and overhead budgets, homebuilder management reports, maintaining gross margin backlog, monthly proforma updates, lot takedowns, and other key indicator reportsPublish pricing and lot releases and providing updates to the MLS departmentQualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required. Master's Degree preferredCPA designation strongly preferredMinimum of two (2) years of finance or accounting experience with a public homebuilder, entity in the real estate industry or public accounting firm preferredAdvanced Microsoft Office suite, JD Edwards/PeopleSoft and SAP/Business Objects forecasting software preferredStrong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to handle stressful situations in a professional mannerStrong negotiating skills and the ability to influence othersStrong leadership skills: ability to set objectives, delegate tasks, and evaluate performanceSound judgment with a high level of integrity to execute decisions with significant corporate/financial impactDetail-oriented while staying clearly focused on the big pictureOverview
