About the Role

The Property Controller is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of Flow's Real Estate properties. This role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, analysis, and compliance within the company's real estate portfolio

ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage full property accounting month-end close process and support Flow's overall accounting month-end close process from beginning to endCompile, analyze, and track financial data by performing detailed reviews of monthly property owner reportsDevelop and maintain relationships with the company's internal and external property managersWork with auditors for interim and year end auditsInternally own tax preparation for real estate entities and coordinate with third party tax advisorsRun cash forecast model and monitor cash flow in partnership with other members of the finance teamAssist in budget preparation and reviewUnderstand and manage payment of loans and loan complianceOversee retail tenant escalation calculations, including CAM, taxes, and other operating expensesTroubleshoot issues and ensure internal client requests are handled on time, accurately, and with a focus on customer serviceCoordinate with property management teams to resolve tenant billing and collection issuesIdeal Background

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance7+ years of accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with some experience in real estate accounting and analyticsProficiency with Excel, G-Suite, Yardi, Netsuite/Intacct a plusAbility to communicate clearly and concisely and good presentation skills both written and verbalKnowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for real estate propertyKnowledge of real estate terms, definitions, and real estate analytical methodologyAbility to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

$140,000 - $160,000 a year
