As an accountant, you’ll have a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of the practice’s financials.Responsibilities:General Accounting Duties :

You’ll handle various accounting tasks, including maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial reports, and managing accounts.These duties form the foundation of accurate financial record-keeping.

Financial Reporting :

You’ll prepare

periodic balance sheets ,

income statements , and

profit and loss statements .These reports provide insights into the organization’s financial health, seeing transactions from start to finish

Accounts Payable :

You’ll code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close monthly books.

Bank Reconciliation :

Reconciling bank accounts, verifying deposits, and addressing inquiries from banks are essential tasks.Accuracy in bank transactions is crucial for financial integrity.

Assisting Auditors :

Providing assistance to external auditors during audits ensures compliance and transparency.Your cooperation helps maintain the organization’s financial credibility.

Excellent Communication :

Collaborate effectively with Practice Administrators with their day to day operations and external auditors

Software Coordination :

Coordinating with software vendors to maintain the accounting software system is important.Recommending updates enhances efficiency and accuracy.

Overall Contribution :

Your role extends beyond these specific duties, as you’ll adapt to the evolving needs of the organization.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.One year of accounting experience required.Skills and Abilities

Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting.Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.Highly proficient with accounting software.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office, NetSuite, Bill.com or similar software.
