Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients.

LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.

The client for this project is for the NYS Office of General Services (OGS) and the Department of Corrections and Community Supervisions (DOCCS).Please provide references upon resume submission.

Responsibilities

Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with building standards and project specificationsInspect all material upon arrival to the jobsite to ensure complianceDocument inspections and report any issuesCoordinate scheduling of subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and vendors to complete each project on timeMonitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the projectCommunicate with the project team and support each subcontractor to execute his job duties effectively and efficientlyPerform inspections or schedule inspectors to meet the varying safety and compliance regulations of each job locationMaintain a written daily log of visitors, job actions performed, materials expended, and problems resolved on the job siteTravel between multiple job sites and simultaneously manage work loads of individual projectsIdentify and resolve problems and conflicts, organizing meetings and cooperating with team members in various roles as necessary

Qualifications

OSHA 30Willingness to work inside minimum and maximum security prisonsAbility to pass criminal background checkMinimum three (3) years of trade experience or comparable training in inspection of large-scale building project valued above $1 millionWillingness to respond to calls off normal hours and occasionally work extra hours to meet project needsMust be able to work autonomously, follow procedures, and interpret contract documentsAbility to understand and interpret contract documents including specifications and drawingsExperienced in new building construction, major renovations, civil work and the installation and commissioning of ElectricalStrong communications written and oral skills and a collaborative approach working with both client and construction contractor/subcontractorsAbility to maintain field and office records and perform quantity computations
