Montgomery & Associates (M&A) is seeking a full-time Senior Hydrogeologist to join our Reno office. The current work in this office is primarily mining related.Responsibilities of this position include:

Managing mining water resources projectsDeveloping and interacting with clients, project stakeholders, and regulatory agenciesDirecting, training, and mentoring junior staffPreparing technical proposals, work plans, and reportsComplying with health and safety regulations, including applicable government, M&A, and client-specific policies and proceduresQualifications for this position include:

Bachelor's degree in hydrology, geology, or engineering; graduate degree preferredProfessional geology or engineering registration10+ years of professional mining consulting experience; hard rock and lithium mining experience a plusProven communication skills including technical writing and presenting technical information in meetingsProfessional experience conducting hydrogeologic investigations for mine permitting, mine dewatering, and surface water – groundwater interactions; developing hydrogeologic conceptual models and water budgets; groundwater well drilling, design, construction, and testing; analyzing pumping testsInterest in professional organizations, including presenting work at conferencesAbility to develop and/or capitalize on business opportunitiesUnderstanding of federal and state regulations and permittingAbility to pass background check and drug test, if requestedAbility to legally work and reside in the United StatesAt M&A, our mission is to promote a fulfilling and respectful work culture where employees collaborate to deliver pragmatic water resource solutions grounded in the principles of integrity, scientific rigor, and environmental responsibility.
