LiRo is currently seeking full-time
Construction Inspectors
for public housing projects throughout the five boroughs.
Responsibilities
Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with building standards and project specificationsInspect all material upon arrival to the job-site to ensure complianceReview plans to identify potential violationsFollow through on the work from mobilization through completion ensuring satisfactory work completedCommunicate and coordinate all facets of work with the subcontractors and concerned partiesPerform resident relocation walk through with tenantsDocument inspections and report any issuesDetermine the quality of materials being used throughout the testing
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or construction management a+6+ years of experience in building construction trades including residential construction (finishes and applications)Ability to work weekends (including Sundays) when needed.Knowledge of construction materials, methods and proceduresAbility to maintain field and office records and perform quantity computations.Proficient in ExcelExperience reading and interpreting plans and specifications and generate changes to the scope of work as required.Strong written and oral communication skillsCollaborate with multiple team members and have the ability to multi-task.Ability and coordination to safely maneuver around a construction site.
