ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Installs and maintains water, gas, air, oil and heating piping and associated equipment. Such as pumps, reducing /relief valves, temperature control and ventilating systemsPerforms electrical work, including plan layouts, installs and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures and apparatus such as fuses, circuit breakers, switches and motorsDiagnosis and fix electrical failure or problemsInstalls, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.Troubleshoots mechanical devices in operation.Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Performs mechanical operations to build, repair and maintain plant machinery, such as machine parts where machinery requirements must hold close to the specifications; works from drawings or samples and uses machines such as grinders, hand tools and measuring instrumentsPerforms metal working duties, such as repairing or installing steel or aluminum wall siding, doors, duct work, shelving and other metal materialsInspects building and grounds for any repairs or maintenance needed and reports findings to the supervisorFollows all safety policies and procedures including use of safety equipment (PPE) and equipment safeguardsPerforms other related dutiesREQUIREMENTS:High school diplomaMinimum of three years of maintenance experience in manufacturingPREFERRED:Knowledge of PLC and BoilersWORKING CONDITIONS:Continuous physical activity throughout the workday such as climbing, balancing, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, hearing, talking, repetitive motion and moving objects weighing up to 100 lbs.Operates a variety of handheld power and mechanical toolsWorks inside and outside, noise above ambient levelProximity to moving mechanical parts, may wear hearing protection, may be required to wear/use respiratorInside areas may periodically reach temperatures over 100 degrees FConfined space entry will be required#INBalchem is committed to a workplace culture that values and promotes diversity, inclusion, equal employment opportunities, and a work environment free of harassment and hostility.Salary Range: $25-$30 per hour
