Position Purpose:
As a
Senior Analyst in Labor Engineering , you will significantly influence in-store operations and drive large-scale, visible improvements to both associate and customer experiences while optimizing
billions of dollars
in payroll expenses.
Your primary objective is to
design, build, and maintain labor models
for our store departments. How do we determine the optimal staffing levels for cashiers by time of day to expedite customer checkouts? How can we seamlessly integrate the impact of emerging technologies like
computer vision ? How do we engineer models to support specialized areas such as
Pro and Kitchen Design ? These are just a few of the questions you'll tackle through a combination of
in-person studies
and
data analysis .

Key Responsibilities:Lead Project Teams of Analysts and other associatesPerform data gathering tasks, synthesis - develop solutions, project/strategy planning and data utilizationProduce documents for teams and leadership to review and utilize. Deliver presentations to teams and executive leaders and sponsorsBuild skills and knowledge including self-development, team knowledge and customer (internal) knowledge.Deliver presentations to teams and executive leaders and sponsors.Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
Typically reports to Store Operations Process Manager or Store Operations Business Manager (or Sr. Managers)No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action).Travel Requirements:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.Working Conditions:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.Minimum Qualifications:
Must be eighteen years of age or older.Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.Preferred Qualifications:
