Purpose:

Develop and implement proactive social media strategies to engage key audiences, support business growth, and enhance the credit union's expansion efforts. This role focuses on managing the brand's presence across social media platforms, creating engaging content, driving member engagement, and collaborating with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency. Additionally, the Social Media Marketing Specialist will support the marketing department in daily activities, contributing to various projects and campaigns while delivering an exceptional member experience aligned with the credit union's core values

Responsibilities:Manage social media accounts including regular monitoring, planning, and posting, to engage existing members and attracting new ones.Use creativity and strategic thinking to brainstorm and implement integrated social media campaigns and promotions aimed at attracting new members, strengthen relationships with organizations we serve, promoting product usage to members, and increasing member retention.Oversee brand reputation management via Facebook Direct Messages, Google Reviews, and any other reviews that come in.Build relationships with other organizations that we have partnerships with including school systems, credit union business clients, area Chambers of Commerce, mortgage relationships and more.Utilize AI and other software to continually improve processes, efficiency and to drive growth.Write, proofread and edit copy for social media content and other marketing materials such as "message on hold", capturing the brand's tone of voice with grammatically correct language.Take photos aligned with the credit union's branding for social media and marketing content.Further the credit union brand by pursuing social media ideas including the proactive development of positive member and staff testimonials, video stories, staff achievements, community involvement and more.Collaborate in promoting products and services, events, and other key information to boost engagement and attract prospective members while also strengthening existing relationships with other organizations in the community.Measure social media engagement, monitor conversations and complaints, track traditional media coverage, and stay current on trending topics that impact the financial and credit union industry.Monitor and upload content for branch TVs, road signs, and ArborNet.Responsible for internal communications about upcoming initiatives and promotions.Manage internal marketing supplies materials and other requests. Order new material when needed. Research new promotional items when requested.Ensure all communications and published materials are aligned with the credit union's branding strategy and voice.Research, recommend, and serve as liaison for third party vendorsProvide support to other marketing positions and ensure cohesiveness between all marketing projects.Award drawing winners and maintaining giveaway logs and data.Maintain knowledge of compliance with departmental policies and procedures.Promote and maintain a confidential environment to protect member, employee, and credit union information.Follow all credit union policies, procedures, and requirements, including all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.Create and promote a positive professional image of oneself and the credit union.Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's (BA/BS) Degree in Marketing/Advertising or relevant field and 3 years of relevant experienceExcellent motivational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive informationExperience with a CRM, such as HubSpot, or similar software is preferredExperience with graphic design software a plusExperience in financial services marketing and/or understanding of credit union/banking environment is a plusSkills, Abilities, and other Requirements:
