Accounting Manager We are a dynamic organization dedicated to excellence. We are seeking an experienced and driven Accounting Manager to lead a small but highly efficient team, overseeing daily accounting operations while implementing process improvements to support our continued growth. Overview As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing a small team of accounting professionals. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and spearhead process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. This role is ideal for a personable, hands-on leader with a detail-oriented mindset and the ability to think critically in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: - Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end close processes. - Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounting staff members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. - Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations. - Lead process improvement initiatives, leveraging advanced Excel skills to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and enhance reporting capabilities. - Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making, budgeting, and forecasting. - Oversee the preparation of financial statements and other reports for management and external stakeholders. - Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance. - Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to address financial issues and provide strategic recommendations. - Assist with audit preparations and liaise with external auditors as needed. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - CPA certification preferred but not required. - 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. - Stable career history, demonstrating commitment and long-term growth in previous roles. - Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and macros. - Experience in process improvement and system optimization. - Knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting principles. - Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor. - Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
