Position Overview: The Accounting Manager will oversee the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and the implementation of effective financial controls. This role will collaborate closely with other departments to support strategic initiatives and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management: Oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and reports in compliance with GAAP.

Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of accountants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations; manage audits and liaise with external auditors.

Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in accounting operations.

Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to senior management for decision-making.

Cost Control: Monitor and analyze company expenditures; implement cost control measures as needed.

Collaboration: Work closely with operations and logistics teams to provide financial insights that drive performance.

Training & Development: Facilitate training and development opportunities for the accounting team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.

5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.

Experience in the logistics or supply chain industry is a plus.

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
